Cancelling subscription renewal
Stop renewal on the Billing page before the paid period ends. Access continues through that period. Ordinary subscription cancellation receives no refund, including no prorated refund. Unused monthly credits roll over only while the subscription stays active and expire when it ends. Purchased credits do not expire. Mandatory consumer rights take priority.
On-time student changes
An eligible cancellation restores the original credit automatically. Rescheduling uses the existing credit. Restored subscription credits remain usable while the same subscription entitlement continues and expire when that subscription ends. Purchased credits remain non-expiring. Rescheduling is atomic: if the new time cannot be booked, the existing lesson remains unchanged.
Late cancellation or student no-show
The lesson credit is not restored unless TRG Japan applies a stated grace policy for the circumstances.
TRG Japan or instructor cancellation
A monetary refund is queued for the cancelled paid lesson. For a subscription-funded lesson, the refund is the relevant period’s price actually paid divided by its included lesson allowance. Purchased lessons are refunded at their actual purchase price. We normally initiate the refund within seven business days of cancellation; your payment provider may take additional time to post it. Business days are Monday–Friday in Japan time, excluding observed US federal holidays and Japanese public holidays. We do not also restore a usable credit for the same refunded lesson.
Lesson not provided as promised
TRG Japan will provide a lesson credit or monetary refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Ordinary lesson cancellations
We do not issue monetary refunds when a student simply cancels or changes their mind. Instead, an eligible cancellation is automatically converted into a lesson credit that keeps its existing entitlement and can be used to book another lesson while valid. Monthly credits expire when the subscription ends; purchased credits do not expire. If applicable law requires a monetary refund or provides a mandatory cancellation right, that legal requirement takes priority.
